Society of the Cross

Vows

 

I, Your Name Here, vow by the grace of God that as a professed member of the Society of the Cross I will;

 

Totally depend on the grace of God, knowing that without Him I can do nothing.

 

Proclaim the cross of Christ, as the means to salvation and reconciliation with God, for to us that are saved the cross is the power of God.

 

Daily offer up thanks, praise and worship to the Lord, for He is worthy and deserving of all thanks, praise and worship.

 

Daily read the Holy Bible, meditate upon its words and put them into practice in my life.

 

Daily pray for the will of God to be done in my life and for the guidance of the Holy Spirit. And to have daily intercession for national leaders, church leaders, for my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, and intercede for the lost that they may come to a saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

 

Daily take up my cross, by seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. For the way of the cross is the path of self-denial and submission to the will of God and must be lived out on a daily basis.

 

Daily walk in the three divine virtues of faith, hope and love.
