Society of the Cross
And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

Incardination into the Society of the Cross

If you are a deacon or priest that has been ordained in apostolic succession or a bishop that has been consecrated in apostolic succession and are looking for a new spiritual home. We may be able to help.

Many such clergy are looking for a home that is not compromising and inclusive when it comes to the Word of God. Yet, many organizations are becoming socially and politically correct compromising the truth of God’s Word. Also many are fed up with the authoritarian dictates of a hierarchy that is out of touch with their flocks. We believe that those who are sons of God are to be led by the Holy Spirit, thus we do not dictate to our clergy every little thing that they must do or else. We do offer guidance and counsel if called upon to do so.

The Society of the Cross is not a church or a denomination; we are a Christian Society.

To those who would seek incardination into the Society of the Cross, they must first be Professed Members of the Society and been previously validly ordained in apostolic succession. We also ask them to hold to the following:

Do you believe the following and agree to abide by the same?

I believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible and authoritative Word of God.

I adhere to the Apostles Creed as a general statement of the Christian faith.

I believe in the Mysteries of Baptism, Eucharist, Chrismation/Confirmation, Anointing of the Sick, Ordination, Confession, and Marriage and understand that they are means of grace according to the Scriptures and the doctrine of the early Church.

I believe that in The Lord's Supper, Jesus Christ is actually and essentially present in the shape of bread and wine and that Holy Communion is to be administered under both species.

I will not perform same-sex marriages, unions or blessings and, if a bishop, I will not ordain practicing homosexuals.

Other than that, we ask our clergy to either postal mail or email a quarterly ministry report.

So, if you are looking for a new spiritual home and what you have read is in line with what you believe then please feel free to contact us about incardination or apply for incardination. Please remember one must first be a Professed Member of the Society of the Cross and been previously validly ordained in Apostolic Succession to be considered for incardination. Thank you.
