Presiding Bishop
The Presiding Bishop of the Society of the Cross is Bishop Robert Conley, SC.
Bishop Conley is a native of West
Virginia. He is married and has six children and one grandchild.
Bishop Conley is not only the Presiding Bishop of the Society of
the Cross but also the Founder. He started the Society of the Cross as a Christian Society that would reach out across denominational
barriers sharing with others the best of many denominations and traditions within the Church. He is a valid bishop within apostolic
succession. He was consecrated a Missionary Bishop in the Independent Catholic Movement by Archbishop Rodney P. Rickard, SC, on June
3rd of 2007, the Feast of the Holy Trinity.
Bishop Conley is noted for a unique and special anointing when it comes to the Word of
God. His understanding of the Word has been described as simple but profound. Bishop Conley is available for Evangelistic and Healing
Meetings, Spiritual Life Seminars and Minister Conferences. He has no set fees or charges, he asks that travel expenses, lodging and
